A Life Of Dedication to the Art of Riflemaking.
John Bolliger, the founder of Mountain Riflery, Inc. began following his dream in 1966 creating custom rifles.
Since 1986, John has devoted his life to the creation of some of the finest works of the custom riflemakers art being produced, not only in the USA but internationally as well.
From his record setting Grizzley Rifle, (sold at auction in 1992 for $225,000.00) the highest price ever paid for an American Custom Sporting Rifle to the Grand Slam Rifle series of rifles recently completed for the Foundation for North American Wild Sheep (another record setting project raising more money for FNAWS than any rifle project ever produced for that organization), Johns Rifles continue to be highly sought after and coveted by hunters and collectors alike.
John, an avid hunter and conservationist, has hunted all his life His rifle projects have raised more money for
Conservation .than any riflemaker in history and he continues to support such prestigious organizations such as Safari Club International, FNAWS, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, National Rifle Association, etc.
John's son, John Jr. (an accomplished Riflemaker in his own right) has been an associate in Mountain Riflery for 15 years learning the art, building rifles part time and assisting in many of the shows and conventions attended by Mountain Riflery. John Jr. is now directing production for the company and is becoming the driving force in the organization.
This Rifle making team is currently creating some of the highest quality custom firearms in production today. These beautiful pieces of art can be seen in game fields throughout the hunting world and in collections of some of the most prestigeous people in this country and abroad.
